> We were 2 photographers, 1 tattoo artist and 2 designers. Together we decided to begin a human experience that link tattoo art and photography, during a 15 days journey across the Alaska. 31st July, 2018: we left the small city of Anchorage, for a 2000 miles road trip, with a goal in mind: To explore and find beautiful landscapes to get them tattooed on our skin, lost into the wild.
> The idea of this project was to extract tattoo making from his usual environment, in order to capture stunning landscapes. This trip gave us the opportunity to establish a link between photography and tattoo, using these mediums to seize Alaskian’s fragments. Each of the five members of this adventure chosen a propper scenery he would like to remember, by getting it tattooed in front of it.

Plongée dans un environnement immersif, la personne qui y pénètre, se retrouve isolée en compagnie de l’artiste face à une photographie choisie dans ses souvenirs. Commence alors un échange avec l’artiste autour de l’histoire du paysage projeté, celui-ci viendra ensuite le réinterpréter directement sur la peau du patient, la main guidée par les lignes de l’image. L’expérience du tatouage se transforme ainsi en une véritable performance, où l’intimité de l’instant vient enrichir l’intimité du souvenir, renforcé par l’inattendu du dessin.
